![]() Dillenia indica (Elephant apple), Dilleniaceae Dillenia trees have very attractive large leathery leaves. They have huge solitary flowers that last for only a day. The fruit of the Dillenia tree has a sticky green mass of seeds, and tastes like an unripe apple. They are used to make drinks and jellies. They are popular with elephants, hence their common name: Elephant apple. |
