Bryophytes |
|
| Bryophytes are non-vascular plants that include liverworts, hornworts and mosses. They can reproduce sexually through diplohaplontic life cycle. Bryophytes have heteromorphic: gametophytes are the dominant forms, while sporophytes are dependent on gametophytes for their development. They can be either monoecious (have both male and female gametophytes on the same plant) or dioecious (male and female gametophytes are on different plants). | |

| In addition to sexual reproduction, liverworts can also reproduce asexually through fragmentation and gemmae. | |
